Sean, The Officiator

Ok, so what’s the deal with the officiator…Sean Stephenson?

Sean met the groom, John, over 10 years ago while they were both volunteers for Tony Robbins crew for Tony’s Unlimited Power Weekend (UPW) event.  Today, they are lifelong friends.

Sean Stephenson is one of the most amazing people you will ever have the pleasure to meet. Expected to die at birth, Sean has faced an army of reasons to give up and countless opportunities to embrace pity. He suffered more than 200 bone fractures by age 18, reached a height of only 3 feet, and is permanently confined to a wheelchair. However, Sean took a stand for a quality of life despite his circumstances and consequently he has inspired millions of people around the world, including Tony Robbins and President Clinton and more recently Jimmy Kimmel and the Dali Lama. In November, Sean debuted his first ever television show called “The 3 Foot Giant” which showcases Sean’s career as a breakthrough therapist.

We are blessed to have had Sean as the officiator for our masquerade wedding. His physical appearance naturally enhanced the uniqueness of our special day, and his one-of-a-kind humor took the edge off of an otherwise stressful event….and of course, made our wedding “memorable”.

We have received so many heartfelt compliments regarding Sean’s contribution(s) to the wedding ceremony as well as his festive dancing and playful socialization at the wedding reception. If we didn’t know better, we’d swear that sometimes Sean doesn’t even know that he was born with a disability. ;)
